Britney Spears Dateline Interview

In an interview on Dateline with Matt Laur, Britney tackles the hard topics in her life: marriage, her new baby, media, and her husband. Sources describe the interview as “emotional” and “candid,” a chance to get to know what Britney Spears is really thinking about. NBC quotes her on tabloids and paparazzi:

They’ve crossed the line a little bit…they like to have the person they pick on, I feel like I’m a target.

britney-spears-crying.jpgA youtube video clip captures the moment when Laur asks “So when the magazine screams on the cover, Pregnant and Divorcing, you want people to know…” and Spears cuts him off with, “Oh no, none of that is true.” The teaser also briefly shows her emotional breakdown at the end of the interview when she “talks about wanting the paparazzi to leave her alone.”

According to sources close to the Gossip Rag, they feel the interviewer was “so mean to her. He totally played her to make her cry.” Another viewer simply thought, “it was really lame.”

    I think the interviewer was pretty polite... he asked her some difficult questions in a very tactful manner.

    I don't think she came off well, though... she overplays that country girl thing too much...

    This interview was evidently a big step for Spears. She knew that by doing the interview she would be criticised intensly, however, she spoke out for the sake of her son and herself. The paparazzi are going way too far now with Spears. It's to the point that we feel extremely sorry for her. Mothers would do anything to protect their young, and Spears is trying so hard to protect her son. Paparazzi really need to give it up with the whole 'bad mother' thing. It's getting really old. Tabloids need to cut the story as well. It's been milked enough...now it's just drained. Enough with the 'bad mother' business, just let Spears be a mom.

    she looks like she just stepped out of the trailerhood. "oh that's the real me HONEY!" she doesn't even know when how to use the quotation hand gestures in the right places. and the gum chomping during the interview was pure class. if my mama looked like that with her boobs being squished to death almost popping out of her top i'd be so embarrassed. i just feel bad for the poor girl. she needs help. someone should have at least combed her hair and did her makeup. she was going on a planned interview for the world to see for god's sake. well i guess it was the REAL her after all...........i guess we all have to come to terms with the truth..... Shitney Spears and her music where, are, and will always be trash.

    People say bad things about Britney, I don't care and I don't believe any of them. She's a mother now, I'm sure everybody will be like that, and she became like this because of Kevin. I'm not saying Kevin is a jerk, or something.
    I have always loved Britney and will always love her. I promise you guys, she will return to the stage and will rock your brains out!! She will be the best mama and best artist YOU HAVE EVER SEEN!!
    I don't care about Christina, I don't like her, if it comes to voting, I would choose BRITNEY!!

    LOL!~! Shinee..She's a mother now? And you think that matters to trailer trash?
    Is that why she doesn't wear any underwear in public and makes sure the world knows it by allowing the paparazzi to take photos of her naughty parts? She must be really proud of that C-section scar.
    She's a no class, gross wannabe. and never will be.
