Kim Basinger leaked a frustrated voicemail that actor Alec Baldwin left for his 11-year-old daughter Ireland after she failed to answer a scheduled call on April 11th. The audio file (mp3) transcript reads:

Hey I want to tell you something, okay, and I want to leave a message for you right now, because again it’s 10:30 here in New York on a Wednesday and once again, I have made an ass of myself trying to get to a phone to call you at a specific time. When the time comes for me to make the phone call, I stop whatever I am doing and I go and I make that phone call at 11 o’clock in the morning in New York and if you don’t pick up the phone at 10 o’clock at night and you don’t even have that goddamn phone turned on.

I am tired of playing this game with you. I’m leaving this message for you to tell you that you have insulted me for the last time. You have insulted me. You don’t have the brains or the decency of a human being! I do not give a damn that you’re 12 years old or 11 years old, or a child, or that your mother is a thoughtless pain in the ass who doesn’t care about what you do as far as I’m concerned.

You have humiliated me for the last time with this phone and when I come out there next week. I’m going to fly out there for the day just to straighten you out on this issue. I’m going to let you know just how disappointed in you that I am and how angry I am with you that you’ve done this to me again.

You made me feel like shit and you’ve made me feel like a fool over and over and over again. And this crap you pull on me with this goddamn phone situation that you would never dream of doing to your mother and you do it to me constantly and over and over again. I am going to get on a plane and I am going to straighten your ass out when I see you.

Do you understand me? I am going to really make sure you get it. That I’m going to get on a plane and I’m gonna turn around and come home. So you better be ready Friday the 20th to meet with me. So I’m going to let you know how I feel, about what a rude little pig you really are. You are a rude thoughtless little pig.

After the tape leaked, Alec Baldwin’s spokesperson made the following statement:

In the best interest of the child, Alec will do what the mother is pathologically incapable of doing … keeping his mouth shut and obeying the court order. The mother and her lawyer leaked this sealed material in violation of a court order. Although Alec acknowledges that he should have used different language in parenting his child, everyone who knows him privately knows what he has been put through for the past six years

Alec Baldwin himself released an apologetic statement on his website, which details the emotional turmoil of years of custody battles with a divorce court, and the parental alienation he claims to face:

Thank you to everyone who has posted messages of suppport and understanding. Naturally, it is not best for a parent to lose their temper with their child. Everyone who knows me privately knows that I have endured a great deal over the last several years in my custody litigation. Everyone who knows me privately knows that certain people will go to any lengths to embarass me and to disrupt my relationship with my daughter.

In such public cases, your opponents attempt to take a picture of you on your worst day and insist that this is who you are as a person. Outside the doors of divorce court, I have friends, I have respect from people I work with and I have a normal relationship with my daughter. All of that is threatened whenever one enters a court room.

Although I have been told by numerous people not to worry too much, as all parents lose their patience with their kids, I am most saddened that this was released to the media because of what it does to a child. I’m sorry, as everyone who knows me is aware, for losing my temper with my child. I have been driven to the edge by parental alienation for many years now. You have to go through this to understand. (Although I hope you never do.) I am sorry for what happened. But I am equally sorry that a court order was violated, which had deliberately been put under seal in this case.

Once my book is published, I’m sure more people will understand the incredible strains created by parental alienation.

We here at the Gossip Rag are just concerned that he doesn’t quite know how old his daughter is. Wait–11, 12, or 13, a little girl still caught in the divorce game? It sounds like a Snoop Dogg 213 lyric to a bad breakup settlement. Hopefully this drama will disappear under the wraps soon.

   I do not blame alec baldwin in the slightest.No matter what he does,Kim B asinger finds some way to condemn him.What parent has not lost it with their child from time to time? It just makes him human as far as i can see.

   So went out at his child a bit! Big deal!!! As darla said, it just makes him human. Alek Baldwin reacted like any other parent would in such position. Would he fight so hard for the custody if he didn’t lve his doughter?

   It saddens me to see children caught in the middle of a divorce. I don’t blame Alec at all for his actions and I can understand what he’s going through. My mother and half brother went through the same thing when she was divorcing my step-father. My step-father would tell my little brother horrible stories, lies, about my mother just to cause trouble. It angered me to no extent to see my family put through that torture. What’s sad is the divorce was final years ago, but the sh** hasn’t ended yet. I can’t stand it when my little brother treats my mom badly and then goes home to his dad thinking he’s a damn angel when actually he’s no saint (far from it, the step-father i mean). I know what Alec is going through and it’s not easy by any means when you have a parent making the other’s life hell for no reason but spite. I hope everything works out in the end for him and for everyone involved.

   It’s obvious his daughter has been treationg him very badly. You can feel the hurt in his words and the pain in the tone of his voice. She will be lucky if he continues to love and fight for her. I think I would give up if my daughter alienated me like that. She is old enough to KNOW what she is doing, I knew perfectly well what I was doing when I was 11, or 12… She has to be responsible for her behavior. It’s pretty obvious Kim Basinger is saying horrible things about Alec to their daughter which makes her a sick sick person. But the gilr is more than old enough to KNOW the THRUTH about her father and to know that you don’t treat your others that way. The only way for this 11, 12 year old girl to not understand the harm she does to her own father is if she were retarded which isn’t the case.
   It’s ridiculous that Kim put that tape out for everyone to hear. Now the entire world knows the pain and sorrow the 3 go thru. How does she think that can be good for her duaghter? Stupid woman!
