Shaniqua Tompkins: “50 Cent Tried to Kill Me” in House Fire
Shaniqua Tompkins, 50 Cent’s ex and baby mama of his son Marquise, says that the house that burned down (which is currently in court dispute between 50 and Shaniqua), was no accident:
The lawyer for 50 Cent’s baby mama, Shaniqua Tompkins, tells TMZ that she heard “someone” come into the house this morning at 4 AM, shortly before the fire broke out around a hour later. Paul Catsandonis, Shaniqua’s lawyer, tells us that his client is “traumatized” by the fire and that the kids are similarly in total shock. Six people, including Tompkins and their 10-year-old son Marquise, were in the house. They all were transported to the hospital and treated for smoke inhalation.

The aftermath
The house is worth $1.4M. Shaniqua said, “He’s upset. If he can’t have it, no one can. He said that he was gonna have somebody come kill me and watch what he does, and this is what he did.” Does this remind you of the song “Forgot About Dre” by Eminem and Dre? Lyrics: “Me and dre stood next to a burnt down house / Wit a can full of gas and a hand full of matches / And still weren’t found out.”
Sex and the City Sucks
It’s not a good sign when sites like Sarah Jessica Parker Looks Like A Horse start to appear near the premier of your TV to Movie HBO series, but yet they are useful harbingers of things to come. The first warning sign, it was soon followed by a piece from the New York Time, The Girls Are Back in Town, which calls the movie a “terrible tumble:”

The show is just too old to go on
“Sex and the City” delivered the television goods for six seasons, no small thing in the pop culture annals. That should have been enough or at least plenty for all concerned, but Ms. Parker apparently felt compelled to go big screen, making good on a project that had started to come together in 2004, only to fall apart over money issues and Ms. Cattrall’s reluctance to climb aboard. I wish Ms. Parker had let that bee in her bonnet go silent, because the movie that she and Mr. King have come up with is the pits, a vulgar, shrill, deeply shallow — and, at 2 hours and 22 turgid minutes, overlong — addendum to a show that had, over the years, evolved and expanded in surprising ways.
Starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon, and Kim Cattrall, the movie adaptation Sex and the City is rated R for strong sexual content, graphic nudity and language. On Metacritic, it has achived a low 54% from critics, and 46% from fans. My recommendation? Find a classic romance.

Child’s Skull Used As Bong
In a bizarre real-crime story, two teens used a skull as a bong in Humble, Texas:
Police this week learned of the sickening incident while investigating an unrelated credit card theft allegedly pulled off by the three defendants, each of whom was arrested Wednesday and charged with abusing a corpse, a misdemeanor. Kevin Jones (left) and Matthew Gonzalez, both 17, posed for the mug shots you’ll find above. Court records identify the third grave desecrator as Matthew Rule, 16. The May 7 probable cause affidavit, filed in Harris County District Court, does not indicate why the teens dug up the body of Willie Simms, a child who reportedly died in the 1920s.

Here is a transcription of the probable cause document:

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Poster
The next Star Wars movie will be completely CG-animated. Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which opens in movie theaters Aug. 15, will deal with another sort of epic battle between the cloned forces of evil and the Jedi Knights. The official site is lacking any real information about the movie, except this movie poster:

So, the art looks good, but will it be another Lucasfilm flop?
