Borat Video: The First Four Minutes

Posted in Movies by The Gossip Monger on October 23rd, 2006.

Over at YouTube you can watch the first four minutes of Ali G comedian Sacha Baron Cohen’s new movie, Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan. Yeah, that’s a mouthful, but Borat’s already in America causing trouble–more after the video itself:

According to the BBC news, Sasha Baron Cohen visited a number of NY feminists on film in the production of the movie, offending and shocking them all:

But then the reporter started talking about his wife’s farm work (”she pulls the plough”), women walking three steps behind men (”it used to be 10 steps, my country is advancing”) and asking how to contact Pamela Anderson.

“I thought I was talking to an uneducated man, maybe from a tribal community,” Ms Stein says. “I mean, that’s how it seemed to me.

If the idea of offending everyone seems like great humour, you probably can’t wait for the new Borat movie’s release.
