John Mayer’s Japanese
We have on good authority that what John Mayer said in Japanese about his relationship with Jessica Simpson was not “She is very beautiful and you’ll be the last to know:”
He actually said:
ジェシッカはとても素敵な女性で、一緒に居られて最高です。
Jessica ha totemo sutekina jousei de, isshou ni irarete saikou desu.
Jessica is a very lovely woman, being able to be with her is the best.
That’s quite different, no? Much more subtle!
