You always knew that One Night In Paris made Ms. Hilton a bundle of money personally, in spite of claims that she planned to donate a percentage to charity. And, in spite of a a 2006 interview with GQ magazine where she said “I never received a dime; It’s just dirty money” Page 6 caught her in a club bragging about how much it made her:

A tipster at Patrick Whitesell’s post-Oscars party says she and Salomon were bragging how they each made $1 million from “One Night in Paris.” Hilton’s rep, Elliot Mintz, told us Hilton did speak with Salomon, but denied there was any talk about the video. He says Hilton ended up spending the night with her old beau Stavros Niarchos, adding, “All is well on the home front.”

Does Paris Hilton even have a home front?

This week, all the news is Britney news. Apparently, according to a recently dismissed lawsuit, the theory that Britney Spears may have produced an adult film with her husband is acceptable journalism, because:

Superior Court Judge Lisa Hart Cole said Spears has “put her modern sexuality squarely, and profitably, before the public eye” and it would be unlikely for the magazine article to be found defamatory. “The issue is whether it is defamatory to state that a husband and wife taped themselves engaging in consensual sex,” Cole wrote in the decision issued last week. “The backdrop against which this issue must be addressed is that the plaintiff has publicly portrayed herself in a sexual way in her performances, in published photographs and in a reality show.”

According to a NSFW article at Fleshbot, a video is circulating the web of a woman (allegedly Britney) performing fellatio on an unknown male, presumed to be her late husband Kevin Federline. Fortunately, it appears that the tape is a fake and we’ll never have to see Britney getting it on. Remember when she was one of those “nice girls?” Yeah, neither do we.

The Sun UK issued an apology of sorts for the scandalous picture of Harry that made its way into their pages. The photograph, originally alleged to be recent, shows the 3rd from the throne groping a young woman:

Unfortunately the picture was actually taken sometime in 2003, as the Sun states:

In yesterday’s story “The Booze Brothers” we published photographs of Prince William and Prince Harry at a London nightclub. We accept that the nightclub was the Purple Nightclub and not Boujis as we said and the photographs were taken in autumn 2003 and not summer 2006. We apologise for the error. The Sun published the photographs in good faith but we apologise to Ms Natalie Pinkham, a close friend of both Prince William and Prince Harry for publishing them without permission and for any embarrassment or offence their publication has caused. We will be making a donation to a charity of Ms Pinkham’s choice.

I’m not sure that the issue is “publishing photos without permission” but rather “causing offense.” Still, the apology seems to include every possible mollifier.

Harold Reynolds was fired from his analyst job on ESPN’s Baseball Tonight for alleged sexual harassment. The ever-omniscient NY Post quotes Reynold’s explanation of the incident:

“This was a total misunderstanding. My goal is to sit down and get back. To be honest with you, I gave a woman a hug and I felt like it was misinterpreted.”

Wait–ESPN fired a guy that worked there for 11 years, with a brand new 6 year contract, for a hug? Who’s also black? I realize it was a Bristol TV show, but even in England that’s got to mean something. Maybe there was real sexual harassment, but from the way it reads, ESPN’s throwing out a scapegoat.

Although the sultry sex scene from Thank You For Smoking was cut from its other screenings, such as Sundance, (some say at the request of Tom Cruise, her new husband), it’s back for release to theatres. Directory Jason Reitman is quoted by LSE on the scene:

“It’s humorous humping! It’s Kate and Aaron gyrating back and forth.”

Now we know that moviegoers around America will be able to enjoy the same things as Tom Cruise. Well, not really, because it’s apparently humourous, not titillating. Reitman’s quoted again, though, pointing us in the right, er wrong, direction to go looking for more Katie Holmes photos:

“If you want to see a sex scene with Katie Holmes, rent ‘The Gift’”

In The Gift she appears nude, baring her breasts in the scene in which she is about to be killed. The photo (censored to the right) is not particularly scandalous or engaging, except to someone who finds mammaries taboo. However, with Tom’s protective sheltering of his wife, we shouldn’t be expecting Katie Holmes to star in any indecent scenes in the recent future.
