How much do the unscripted actors of hit TV show MTV’s The Hills make? More than you’d expect for the mindless drivel they put out:

Lauren Conrad: $75,000 per episode ($1.40 million per year)
Heidi Montag: $65,000 per episode ($1.25 million per year)
Spencer Pratt: $65,000 per episode ($1.25 million per year)
Audrina: $35,000 per episode ($665,000 annually)
Whitney: $20,000 per episode ($380,000 per season)
Brody: $10,000 per episode ($190,000 a year)
Lauren “Lo”: $10,000 per episode ($190,00 for The Hills Season 4)
Stephanie: $8,000 per episode ($152,00 for Season 4)
Frankie: $0

Apparently Lauren Conrad, in her original contract, demanded that no one be paid more than her; hence she has the highest salary.

Tila Tequila: Real Life v.s. TV

Celebrities and their plastic surgery and airbrushing produce a made-for-tv product that doesn’t often translate into real-life. For example, check out these two pictures of Tila Tequila Nguyen, one from a red-carpet event, the other from a TV promotional:

One of them looks like an attractive woman, the other like a shallow caricature.

Stringer Bell is Idris Elba

The star of hit HBO show The Wire, Idris Elba, who plays the now-dead gangster Stringer Bell in Seasons 1, 2, and 3, wishes he were famous for more than his role in the TV series. He has had minor roles in American Gangster (2007) as Tango and 28 Weeks Later (2007) as General Stone.

After being arrested by the Glendale Police Department in December for a 48-day jail sentence, they naturally took his photo. Kiefer Sutherland, the 40 year old actor of hit TV show “24″ pled no contest to DUI. This is second DUI bust; I guess fighting terrorists makes you an alcoholic.

It’s too bad that 24 is on hold for season 7 because of the writer’s strike. Season 6 was awful and they need to get it right in the future!

After being arrested for a DUI a few weeks ago, our favorite anti-terrorist TV actor Kiefer Sutherland has been sentenced to 48 days in jail. The first 18 days, for a probation violation, will be served immediately until he is sentenced.

Fox news issued the following hilarious statement about their main man:

Today our friend Kiefer Sutherland resolved his criminal case at the earliest opportunity. Kiefer made clear to us at the time of his arrest that his first concern was the welfare of those he worked with and that he intended to do whatever was necessary to prevent shutting down the show because of his situation. He told us that even if he had to sacrifice more time in custody in order to protect the show and the jobs of those who work with him, he would do so. From what occurred today, it is evident he is a man of his word. We wish him well and look forward to a long relationship with him.

So in exchange for admitting to driving with a BAC over .08, he won’t be charged with a second DUI. What I wonder is why Mr. “I’m very disappointed in myself” can’t afford to hire someone to drive his drunk self around?

OMG! In this season’s most recent episode of Dr. Who, companion Martha Jones (instead of being killed, mangled by aliens, or sucked into another universe, like other companions) decided to get out of her one-sided love-hate relationship with the Doctor!

She doesn’t even look sad! The Doctor seems resigned; after all, he is always losing them in some way or another:

Poor Martha. It’s probably for the best! The Doctor is the most troublesome man you can imagine. Totally heartless but 100% charming.

For calling co-worker T. R. Knight a gay slur, Isaiah Washington’s been fired from fabulous TV show Grey’s Anatomy. His response is, “I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore.”

Of course, his quote is so much more funny with a minor replacement. Well, he was my least favorite grey’s character, I’m not sad to see em go!
