DJ Emir is right, IPod weddings are disatrous ventures that should be avoided at all costs. Brides need to realize, the wedding day is all about you... But the reception is all about entertaining your guests. An Ipod is not going to do all that for you. You and your guests probably have less in common musically than you think and you can't possibly time the wedding down to the last detail and have the Ipod play everything at the exact right moments. So you programming The Ipod just doesn't cut it.

I had a friend who was in tears because they used an IPOD at her wedding and it turned out disastrous as people left extra early bored to tears with hardly anyone dancing the whole night and peple having to take turns trying to find songs. Same goes for another friend of mine who decided to do Kareoki at her wedding. Hint, hint... Boring, troublesome and cheesy are not good attributes to apply to your wedding entertainment.

There are reasons you pay professionals to handle your entertainment. The same reason you don't go:
1. baking your own wedding cake,
2. designing, hemming and sewing your own dress
3. walking down the Aisle with a strap on video camera while taking pictures of yourself holding out your arm with your crappy camera phone.

Look it up, statistics show many brides surveyed before and after the actual wedding changed the percentages they would have spent time and money on. Many if offered a chance to do it all over would have spent more time and money chosing a good DJ. It's nt until after the event that they realized how important a good DJ or good entertainment is for the event.

The people that hire DJ AM are glad to do so no matter the price. I've seen him live at both private and public events and he has always delivered a great performance. He is well worth the hefty price tag. More often then not hiring him and others like him pays for itself. If that's too high to pay, which for most of us when doing private events, it is, then you find someone that can do it for less. There are many great DJs out there and not all of them are super expensive.

You can expect to pay anywhere from $500-1500 for a normal DJ depending on your needs. But great DJs like DJ AM, DJ Emir, DJ Craze, Kid Capri, Jazzy Jeff etc that's a whole different ball game.

Now that DJ AM has just passed away maybe you can show respect for the man, and his art. He was a brilliant DJ who created great remixes live in his sets and really was an inspiration to many others. May he rest in peace no longer bothered with your narrow minded criticisms and petty jealous ramblings.

It's one thing to "listen to your beloved gossip mongerers IPOD" a whole nother thing to have it play at your wedding or try and dance to it. Even worse it's a whole nother thing to have someone constantly baby sit the damned thing.

You do whatever you want at yor wedding Luna Aura but just know that people have tried to warn you. You aren't even factoring in all the other things you have to worry about both before and durring your wedding to then throw into the mix your needing to also program the music playlist for your wedding and coordinate the usage of your IPOD during the event as well.

All Emir was trying to point out is you're wedding only comes once in a lifetime (or at least that's how it should be) So don't leave your entertainment to chance, hire a professional entertainer. Nothing is worse than sending uncle bob to the Ipod for the 13th time to change the song cause it isn't playing the appropraite song at the appropriate time.

Do what you want with your wedding but I know I was happy to have paid for a great DJ for my sister's wedding, she was glad I did too, especially after she witnessed our friends Ipod fiasco. - Vanessa V.

PS- R.I.P. Adam (DJ AM) you will be deeply missed

The difference is no One wants to pay to listen to watch you push play on your I-pod. People pay to see DJ Am 'cause he put in work to be as good as he is and he puts on an actual show. Don't direspect the craft because real DJs are what make clubs and parties entertaining. Nothing more boring than a PC DJ or an I-Pod DJ with little skills. If your going to be a DJ then damn it be an actual DJ, or just leave it to the professionals and just listen to your I-Pod at home.<br><br><a href="http://www.djemir.com" rel="nofollow">DJ Emir</a> <a href="http://www.djemir.com" rel="nofollow">Mixtapes</a>
