The new man in Britney’s life isn’t a nanny. He’s not a lover. He’s not a friend. What is he, then? TMZ has the scoop:

Perry Taylor [is] a 28-year-old Naval Academy graduate who played on Navy’s lacrosse team and who grew up and went to high school in the Washington, D.C., area.

Since he already has a long-term girlfriend, it’s clear that he’s been hired on as some kind of bodyguard to Britney Spears. His mother is quoted in TMZ about his occupation:

Perry and his paramour moved to the West Coast so that Perry could pursue a career in private security. He got his current gig working for a security company, and, according to his mother, worked for another blonde celeb, whom she wouldn’t name.

According to IN Touch, as quoted by Defamer, Kevin does feel threatened. “[Federline] doesn’t like that this guy is taking care of his baby. He feels like Britney is throwing it in his face.”
