This is hot. The man who brought us Justified has just released a new single Sexy Back for his upcoming album, FutureSex/LoveSounds. If you head over to Justin Timberlake’s Myspace you can hear the new dance track. Unfortunately, there’s no way to download the single.
The album release date has been set as September 12, 2006. It was produced by Timberlake himself, JAWBreakers, Timbaland, and Rick Rubin. Since Justified, Justin Timberlake’s first solo album, sold more than 7,000,000 copies, we wonder if his second solo effort be able to sell as well. I guess we’ll have to wait.

I’m from Holland and he performed in Paradiso, amsterdam last night as a try out for the new album. He played a couple of new songs and they were just AMAZING! Some really cool up-beat songs (they have the same vibe as ’**** back’) and there’s one ballad (forgot the name of the song) but its so beautiful! Justin just rocks on stage! Paradiso is a really tiny space (less then 1000 people) so it was really intimate and special to see him from so close! I love the new tracks, watch out for the new album, it’s gonna be amazing!

this song is fresh with a great beat. It’s nice to hear something that has not already been done before.
I think that fewer people would be saying that it sucks if they didn’t know it was by Timberlake. Perhaps a good move for him would have been to instruct stations to play it w/o mentioning his name at first. Most people don’t pay that much attention to the fine details of songs, so they wouldn’t really be able tell it’s him unless they already knew.
It’s got a good beat that sticks in your mind and grows on you. It’s definitely better than so much that’s out there. If nothing more, at least you can dance to it.

If anything, the verses are the only good part. And there is one major flaw that has to be fixed, the chorus is longer than the verses. This is unheard of, until now.

I have heard this song several times and I do think it’s got a good beat, very dance-worthy. I can understand why some here are thinking he is ***. It’s not the lyrics, but the way he sings the verses – he’s doing it cabaret style with an emphasis on drawing out each word. Why is he doing this? IMHO he’s trying to put authenticity into the song. Cabaret originated in Germany during the early part of last century, and was re-stylized by many of the great African American blues and jazz artists during the 40s. Back then this sound was what many associated with “camp” and although camp means something completely different today, the *** undertones linger, Maybe that explains why it sounds “***” to many of us.
